Canadian-born violinist Connie Eilers is active as a teacher, performer, chamber, and studio recording musician. A laureate of competitions in the United States and Canada, she began violin studies at age four and made her solo orchestral debut at age twelve with the Vancouver Youth Symphony. After 17 years as a freelance violinist in the greater Los Angeles area, she now resides and teaches in Whatcom County, WA and enjoys all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Connie holds a Master's degree in Violin Performance from the Cole Conservatory of California State University, Long Beach, where she studied with Lorenz Gamma, and a Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from Biola University's Conservatory of Music. She is also the recipient of the ARCT diploma in Violin Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
A violinist with extensive solo, orchestral and chamber music experience, Connie has participated in performances and masterclasses with renowned musicians, including Menahem Pressler, Roland and Almita Vamos, the Borromeo and Borealis String Quartets, Joel Smirnoff of the Juilliard String Quartet, Peter Slowik and Nicholas Kitchen, among many others. She was also selected to compete live in Pasadena, CA as a finalist in the Coleman Chamber Ensemble Competition. Passionate about many genres of music, she has recorded for film, music videos, and video games at prestigious Los Angeles studios, including Warner Bros., The Village, and EastWest.
