
Canadian-born violinist Connie Eilers is active as a teacher, performer, chamber and studio recording musician. After 17 years as a freelance violinist in the greater Los Angeles area, she now resides and teaches in Whatcom County, WA and enjoys all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. A laureate of competitions in the United States and Canada, she began violin studies at age four and made her solo orchestral debut at age twelve with the Vancouver Youth Symphony.
Connie holds a Master's degree in Violin Performance from the Cole Conservatory of California State University, Long Beach, where she was a student of Lorenz Gamma, and received her Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from Biola University's Conservatory of Music. She is also the recipient of a Violin Performers ARCT diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
A violinist with extensive solo, orchestral and chamber music experience, Connie has participated in performances and masterclasses with Menahem Pressler, Roland and Almita Vamos, the Borromeo and Borealis String Quartets, Joel Smirnoff of the Julliard String Quartet, Peter Slowik and Nicholas Kitchen, among many others. Passionate about many genres of music, she has recorded at renowned studios in Los Angeles such as Warner Brothers, The Village, and East West.
